I spent last night thinking about the Dating Persona types from the okcupid.com:http://www.entp.org/...ng-personality/

I put the 16 types into 4 categories:

1> DD (Deliberate-Dreamer)

DGSD The Backrubber/The Intern
DGLD The Slowdancer/The Sonnet

DBSD The Billy Goat/The Nymph
DBLD The Mixed Messenger/The Priss

2> DM (Deliberate-Master)

DGSM The Bachelor/The Dirty Little Secret
DGLM The Gentleman/The Maid of Honor

DBSM The 5 Night Stand/The Stiletto
DBLM The False Messiah/The Battleaxe

3> RD (Random-Dreamer)

RGSD The Poolboy/The Nurse
RGLD The Boy Next Door/The Window Shopper

RBSD The Last Man on Earth/The Half-Cocked
RBLD The Man Child/The Wild Rose

4> RM (Random-Master)

RGSM The Playboy/The Playstation
RGLM The Loverboy/The Peach

RBSM The Hornivore/The Genghis Khunt
RBLM The Vapor Trail/The Sudden Departure

I divided them based on same first and last letters because I felt that's what makes the four similar in each category (and different from types in other cagetories) more so than brutal/gentle & sex/love distinctions. I decided on it because I realized I identified most with the three other personas in my category. I think persona that's most similar to mine (The Priss) is the Nymph.

So I came to wonder if I would be best compatible with one of the four personas in my category, The Deliberate-Dreamers. If I was into "opposites attract", I might also pick the Random-Master.

I know this isn't like MBTi but still has some entertainment value, maybe even some truth.

You are probably on to something. I hadn't commented on it but I got The Maid of Honor when I took the test but when I checked my email it said I was The Gentlemen. I figured it flip flopped my sex. I had been disappointed thinking The Maid of Honor was boring but when I read what The Gentleman does with socks I perked up a bit. After all socks are the next best thing to shoes...I like both of them a bit more than normal.

Btw thoses Sex in the City girls had fabulous shoes, perhaps loose morals, and fragmented relationships with men but absolutely great shoes.

I think there's a connection between the Dating Persona Test and the MBTI types.

Deliberate = Judging
Random = Percieving
Gentle = Feeler
Brutal = Thinker
Love = Not MBTI type related
Sex = Not MBTI type related
Master = Sensing
Dreamer = iNtuitive

However, I don't think the test does a very good job typing people, as I've noticed that most people's Dating Persona Types don't line up with their MBTI type.

I'd put it a little differently:

Deliberate = Judging
Random = Percieving
Gentle = Feeler
Brutal = Thinker
Love = iNtuitive
Sex = Sensing
Master = Extraverted
Dreamer = Introverted

Introverts are focused on their inner world so that kind of points towards "dreamer". Extraverts are more interested in the external world and real people. As for love/sex, I think S and N fits best. Emotionless sex is a very S activity, love is more about looking into the future and "decorating reality", which is an N thing.

I'm False Messiah, which fits well with ENTJ.

I don't really like the Dreamer/Master scale though. It really bashes the dreamers and glorifies the masters (especially in the guy version) which is a bit mean and condescending. The test also uses a lot of "stats" like how many people you've screwed, kissed, fell in love with, etc, which is a bit lame. Kinda reminds me of a bunch of drunk dudes who throw around bullshit sex stories to prove who's the biggest pimp.
