The Hurt Locker just blew ma mind.

It's perfect that such a subtle movie is up against a 3D smurf movie.

Oohh, I really want to see that one. The trailer was awesome.
I think it comes out here in a couple days. :)

And the meteorite is a source of the light, and the meteor's just what we see

And the meteoroid is a stone that's devoid of the fire that propelled it to thee
And the meteorite's just what causes the light, and the meteor's how it's perceived
And the meteoroid's a bone thrown from the void that lies quiet in offering to thee

Glad to hear it.

Anyone seen it?
As the Arbiter of Good Taste, I declare it Good and want to hear Other's reactions (in case, you know, I'm wrong about the self-assigned title)

I really liked The Hurt Locker *and* the 3D smurf movie.

I wouldn't say either one blew my mind, though. What did you like so much about it that it blew your mind?
I want to understand everything, try everything once, travel everywhere including through space and time, and solve all of the world's problems. I want it all! (In the meantime, settling for a good job and good friends....)

I strongly identify with the recklessness of the main protagonist.
I enjoyed the use of film as a medium to serve the "plot".
The subtlety with which the director addresses war (and this specific one too) seemed a valuable contribution to a discussion that usually suffers from black and white (condemnation/ support)judgment.
I believe I saw a true attempt at understanding the current situation in Iraq, and of war, unlike what Hollywood offers on a more regular basis, all the while respecting the futility of that attempt by anyone who hasn't been in combat.

Also I'm just a sucker for good war stories (must be because of Journey to the End of the Night).

Edit: re-watching it to make sure now. It's also pretty funny.
