Salutations. My name's Sophie, and I'm another person who has ENTPs in their life and needs a support group to help cope.

A little about myself: I'm a lapsed pastafarian. My views on steak are that they should be eaten in moderation and preferably cooked to medium doneness. My favourite letter of the Greek alphabet is minuscule phi. I love to look at fissures in pavement or rocks and see in them an aerial view of a canyon or somesuch. I'm a writer. I am the only 'intuitive' in my family, to my knowledge. My family also has a lot of strong SJs who think I'm smart but too weird for their liking. On a more serious note, I'm distressed that the newest actor to be cast as the Doctor in Doctor Who is younger than I am. I thought I had a few years left to defeat the Daleks but that illusion has been shattered now. Ah well.

In short. I'm an INFJ and I am here for the banter and thinkery. *tips hat*

My 'deep dark secret' is that I am a Classical scholar who hasn't finished reading the Iliad in full. >_> I got bored, although I think Diomedes is terrific.

Why thank you. I caught my cat 'reading' some Saint Augustine I had lying around, and she likes to eat my books in general (I find little tooth marks on the corners of my Latin dictionary in particular. I'm not sure why it's such a favourite. Tastes like Ovid?).

Your cat is trying to save you from terminal Geekhood.

Clawing at the tasty poison, digesting what it can.

Animals have a sixth sense for such things

You are tripping down the weirdo path, away from your natural self, further into the hellish matrix of Zoodification and the cat has clocked the problem.

Cats are cool because they never fully commit to the Zoo, they are casual freelancers, that are not beholden to the Zoo for survival. They can do Nature or the Zoo and thrive in both worlds.

They go both ways, that's why they are cool

Do you go both ways?

How badly do you wanna be saved from the runaway train to Geektown, as your post screams out for salvation?

Cuz I got an idea that involves me, you, the cat and a pyramid of brown asses, stacked cheerleader style
A child, however, who had no important job and could only see things as his eyes showed them to him, went up to the carriage.
"The Emperor is naked," he said.

Hello fellow INFJ, and welcome to the ENTP support group. Brainwashing begins in 5 minutes.

Do you know how to cook tofu? So far it’s going well, but I’d like any hints or tips.

I get unreasonably annoyed at the A they use in the advert on TV here for the Terminator TV show. The one they used was in a different font to the rest of the word, which gave me the creeps, which amused my husband, which amused me.

I get really happy when digital clocks say 11:11 (or similar), or 1:23 and so on. My favourite time is 12:34.

I can only stand my family for short spans of time, with many months in between.

I haven’t watched the new Doctor Who. Is it any good? I am currently in the middle of season 3 of The Wire, which I highly recommend.

And the meteorite is a source of the light, and the meteor's just what we see

And the meteoroid is a stone that's devoid of the fire that propelled it to thee
And the meteorite's just what causes the light, and the meteor's how it's perceived
And the meteoroid's a bone thrown from the void that lies quiet in offering to thee

Oh, I've never tried tofu. Steaktarianism was very important to my ENTP. He always said it was vital to know someone's views on how to cook steak. As for the new Doctor Who... well, I haven't seen most of it. Most of what I didn't like was written by their current head writer. My suspicion that he dashed off rough drafts and pushed them through to production without editing- because he could- were confirmed when he gave up the post. His words were something like how he realises his writing looks sloppy and nonsensical, but that's OK because he meant to write each bit he wrote (as opposed to having someone force him to write badly at gunpoint or something). I did like a few episodes, and those were written by the writer who is taking over this year. So, I am much pleased.

Oh, and when I say that most of the new show has been bad so far, I don't mean in the 'amusing-because-its-horrible' way. It takes itself too seriously for that. Otherwise, I'd probably love it.
